Proceeds from the book sale support the Tompkins County Public Library, the Finger Lakes Library System, and many small libraries and reading-related organizations in the Finger Lakes area.

5' Gaylords filled with leftover books await pick up. Typically about 80% of the 250,000 books sell. An 18-wheeler takes as many leftovers as will fit to Thrift Books for resale; the remainder of the books, sadly, go to the recycling center.
