Frances Fawcett is a freelance scientific illustrator, painter and graphic designer in Ithaca, NY. Formerly she worked for the Cornell Entomology Department, specializing in Coleoptera illustration, and taught natural science illustration in the Cornell summer program.  Her tradional media of choice are acrylics, carbon dust, and pen and ink.  At present most of her work is digital, and she enjoys that equally.
